Art Supply Info:

Every DMS student enrolled in an art course for the 2020-21 school year is being asked to pay a $20 fee to cover the cost of individual art supplies. Due to safety requirements, students will not be able to share art supplies as we did in the past. Our regular budget does not cover the cost for individual sets of supplies, and it was also reduced this year. The fee is our way to cover these additional costs without doing fundraisers and events during the year.

OPTION 1: Students who pay the $20 fee will receive an individual art kit with advanced art supplies for the school year, for both in-person and/or virtual learning. Click HERE to see what's included in the kit.

  • CLICK HERE to pay the $20 fee through Revtrak to reserve your supply kit by October 9.

  • We’re also accepting donations through Revtrak (any amount you wish to give above the $20 fee) to support students who cannot afford their own kit and to refill supplies during the year more frequently. Your generosity is greatly appreciated in order to help all students thrive!

    • We hope to distribute kits during the month of October for both in-person and virtual learning students (via a drive-thru pickup - more info to come). However, there may be delays in shipping due to COVID-19 that could push our plans back.

    • Until supply kits are distributed, students will continue to use any supplies they already have available at home and/or from their grade level supply list:  6th  |  7th  |  8th

    • Our kits will include more advanced art supplies, but students are still required to have the basic supplies on hand from the grade level supply lists above.

    • Please note that we may distribute supply kits in phases (such as drawing supplies, then later on watercolor supplies) if we don’t receive everything at once. This will also cut down on the amount of supplies students have to keep track of before they actually use them in class.

    • Our hope is also to refill supply kits if needed during the year at no additional cost to those who pay the $20 fee. If we have extra funds from donations, that money will go directly toward buying additional supplies for students.

OPTION 2: If you would rather purchase your own supplies instead of paying the $20 fee, make sure you have all required items listed HERE.

  • We understand another cost during this time may be difficult, but our hope is to take the burden of shopping off of families and actually save them money. We get school/bulk discount pricing, so buying all items on your own will likely cost more than $20.

OPTION 3: If you are unable to pay the $20 but would still like your student to have an art kit, please fill out this form for a scholarship. We want to make sure all students have access to supplies!

*ALL STUDENTS will be required to keep track of their personal art supply kit and bring the required supplies to in-person or virtual learning classes. We will inform students ahead of time what specific supplies they'll need for a project, so they don't have to bring their full art kit to class everyday. If students lose their kit and want a replacement during the year, they will pay an additional $20. We understand that keeping track of individual supplies will be a learning process for everyone, but our goal is to teach students responsibility and respect for their supplies.

Thank you so much for your support!

Please contact your child’s art teacher if you have questions or concerns.
